TrenchTalmud is a decentralized dictionary where the community defines crypto slang. Users stake $TALMUD tokens to compete for the canonical definition of each term. Winners take the losers' stakes.
The Definition War Process

Submit a Word
- • Pay 10,000 $TALMUD to submit a new crypto term
- • Include your proposed definition (max 240 characters)
- • Your submission automatically stakes 1,000 $TALMUD on your definition
- • A 24-hour definition war begins immediately

The Definition War
- • Anyone can submit competing definitions for 1,000 $TALMUD
- • Stake additional tokens on any definition you believe should win
- • Move your stake between definitions at any time during the war
- • The definition with the most stake when time expires wins

Settlement & Rewards
- • When the 24-hour war ends, anyone can settle the round
- • The highest-staked definition becomes the canonical definition
- • 70% of losing stakes go to winning stakers (proportional to stake)
- • 20% goes to the winning definition's author
- • 10% goes to the protocol treasury
- • Losing stakers forfeit their entire stake

Challenge the Canon
- • After settlement, anyone can challenge the current definition
- • Challenge cost starts at 1,000,000 $TALMUD right after settlement
- • Cost decays linearly over 14 days to 10,000 $TALMUD
- • Challenging starts a new 24-hour definition war

24-Hour Wars
Every definition war lasts exactly 24 hours. This gives the community enough time to participate while keeping momentum high.
Stake-Weighted Voting
Your influence is proportional to your stake. Put your money where your definition is—if you believe strongly, stake strongly.
Dynamic Challenge Cost
Challenge costs decay over time, protecting new canons while allowing outdated definitions to be updated economically.
On-Chain & Immutable
All definitions and stakes are recorded on Solana. The winning definition is forever enshrined in the blockchain.
